there, of course, have also been some let-downs regarding ´´bible study groups´´ where the host-man who is an ´´evangelical christian´´ showed up an hour late and drunk... or the esl group that still is ever-flippant and fickle. however, our spirits are high because whenever we feel we´ve ´´missed out´´ on one oppurtunity the Lord is quick to put another person in our path who needs to hear of His love and the gift of Salvation:) Also, we were blessed to run into some fellow missionaries today ´´just passing through on a visit.´´ They are evangelical Christian missionaries in a town outside of Lima-- the lady is from Switzerland! Another gringa! Her husband is from Peru and they´ve been working as missionaries for 40 years now. They came to church tonight and we all worshipped together, it was a great encouragement to them and us as well! Also, while having breakfast the other day a woman approached me. She said her daughter had spoken of the missionaries who were teaching in the schools and that she knew we were evangelicals...we chatted for a long while. Her husband is a pastor in a nearby village, another struggling church buried in the Andean mountains. But these people know where the Joy comes from and it is always so encouraging to find people like ourselves:)
so long for now... we leave in the AM for Huaraz!
thank you to all our praying saints! gloria a dios! gracias a dios! que dios les bendiga!
